Halo: Combat Evolved PC Beta Test Goes Live For Some

Halo: The Master Chief Collection continues its rollout on PC, as the first beta test for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is now available for some people.

Those who are accepted into the beta will receive an email containing instructions for how to get started. Invitations might be sent to Spam, so be sure to check there if the invite doesn't show up in your normal inbox.

Beta testers can also visit this website to see a list of known issues and more.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC currently only includes Halo: Reach, which is a prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. Since this is just the first beta test, or "flight," for Halo: CEA, it will likely be some time before the game is released officially on PC.

After Halo: CEA, Microsoft will release Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 on PC through The Master Chief Collection. Each title will have a beta test ahead of its official launch.

In addition to Halo: MCC for PC, Microsoft is developing a brand-new Halo game, Halo Infinite, which is a launch title for Xbox Series X. In addition to the game, Microsoft created a new game engine, Slipspace, which lays the groundwork for the future of the franchise.
