We are now a week out from the release of Suicide Squad and it would seem that although critics and fans hit the movie hard, it has managed to soar at the box office. The latest DC Extended Universe offering not only broke August box office records, surpassing Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, but it broke a Tuesday box office record as well. It appears that no matter what people say, Suicide Squad, just continues to smash its way through.

It appears that no matter what people say, Suicide Squad, just continues to smash its way through. Criticism aside, there has been one question on everyone's mind since Suicide Squad was released; are we going to get a Harley Quinn movie? Rumors first hit back in May that Margot Robbie had successfully made the case for a solo Harley Quinn movie and that it was in development. Unfortunately, we haven't heard too much about the project since then. Robbie herself even said during the Suicide Squad press tour that she was still trying to make it happen. Now with the mixed reception of Suicide Squad, and continued complaints against studio input on the DCEU, a lot of us are questioning if we'll see Harley's movie at all.
However, let this be a lesson that we should never doubt the internet, as new rumors have surfaced that Harley Quinn's solo movie will be the untitled 2019 DCEU film.
